Maintenance Care Plan | FAQs

Q: What exactly is a preventative maintenance care plan?

A: It's a software maintenance plan - software such as Windows, email, printing, Word, internet, & other programs or apps. So if you have any issues with functionality, pop-ups, error messages, slowness, etc. - it's all covered to bring you peace of mind from someone you can trust.

Q: What is a "tune-up"?

A: A Tune-up optimizes your computer's performance: It entails checking/removing virus/malware infection, installing any Windows, Adobe, & Apple security updates, cleaning-up junk files, checking for the existence of a file backup plan, & checking event logs for any signs of file/program corruption or imminent hard-drive failure.

Q: When are the tune-ups performed?

A1: A Tune-up is remotely performed every 6 months. Tune-ups are scheduled by the month, so for example January would be your first month, then July would be your next month.

A2: Tune-ups are typically performed between the off-peak hours of midnight & 6a. If your computer is turned off or inaccessible, A.C. will contact you.

A3: As a whole, A.C.'s maintenance is performed in batches & phases over the course of each month; you should expect to receive your summary of completion by the end of your scheduled months.

Q: What if I'm having issues before or after a tune-up?

A: Your maintenance plan includes priority life-time coverage - you may report issues or request service any day, any time.

Q: I'm getting a new computer - can the plan be transferred?

A: Yes. A new computer can be added to your plan as a replacement or as an additional computer.

Q: I also use a tablet/smartphone - is it covered?

A: Yes! Although A.C. does not utilize a way to remote control tablets/smartphones (yet)... if you have questions or issues that can be resolved by email or phone - they are covered.

Q: What is NOT covered by the plan?

A1: The maintenance plan does NOT cover onsite/pickup/delivery fees nor cost/labor for hardware problems with components such as hard-drives, cooling fans, & power-supplies.

A2: The maintenance plan does NOT cover cost/labor for upgrades such as memory(RAM), hard-drives, new computers, new printers, etc.

Q: We have multiple computers in different households & cities - can they be added to the plan?

A: Yes! A.C. offers multi-computer & multi-year discounts. Family and friends’ computers can be included too!! Computers can be located in any city!
